Software modernisation and migration

We renew applications and platforms that have outgrown themselves, without stopping your business or making you start from scratch. First we stabilise, then we improve in phases.

When what you have
has reached its limit.

Every change costs more than the last, versions have fallen behind, nobody dares touch certain parts of the code, or the supplier who built it is gone. Rebuilding everything at once is expensive and risky; leaving it as it is, too. Between the two there is a phased path, and that is what we propose.

How we do it

Modernising without rebuilding everything at once, and without your operations noticing.

Assessing where you stand

✓ Technical and functional audit of the code, architecture and infrastructure
✓ What works, what is a risk and what is holding growth back
✓ We decide with you what to keep, what to renew and what to replace

A phased plan

✓ Priorities set by business impact and technical risk
✓ Every phase leaves something working in production
✓ A fixed budget and timeline for each phase

Stabilise first, improve later

✓ Upgrading frameworks, languages and dependencies
✓ Renewing the architecture when the system needs it
✓ Replacing legacy parts gradually, without a big-bang switchover
✓ New development only where it adds value

Migrating without disruption

✓ Verified data migration, with a rollback plan
✓ The old and new systems run side by side for as long as needed
✓ Platform, hosting or supplier changes without stopping operations

Frequently asked questions.

Hardly ever. The usual approach is to keep what works, renew what holds you back and replace, in phases, what cannot be fixed. Rewriting from scratch only makes sense when it is cheaper than maintaining, and that is decided with data after the assessment, not before.

Yes, that is the starting condition. We work in phases that are deployed without interrupting the service, and during migrations the old and new systems run side by side until the new one is verified.

Yes, it happens often. We start by understanding the code, the architecture and the infrastructure, and we document what we find. That is how the ABC Grup project began: a half-finished platform that keeps growing today.

We migrate in batches, check automatically that what was migrated matches the source, and rehearse the whole switchover before doing it for real, with a rollback plan. Switchover day is never the first time it runs.

It depends on the starting point, which is why we begin with a technical audit: in two weeks you have a report with priorities and effort estimates. From there each phase has its own budget and timeline, and you decide how far to go.

We can carry on with the maintenance and evolution of the platform, or hand it over documented for your team to run. Your call.
