The problem
WooCommerce had become a bottleneck. The store was slow, the server was unreliable, and managing a seasonal product catalog across multiple countries had outgrown what the setup could handle. Aurora, the founder, needed a professional e-commerce foundation that could support growth into European markets — with multi-language support and a clean, mobile-first experience that reflected the brand.
Solution
We designed and built the full store on Shopify, starting from scratch. The project covered everything: a mobile-first design system, a structured product catalog with size and color variants for haramakis and turbantes, and custom pages for distribution, affiliates, and points of sale. We configured three independent markets — Spain/Andorra/Portugal, European Union, and International — with differentiated pricing and shipping zones. The store runs in Spanish, English, and German. We integrated Sendcloud and Correos for shipping, migrated the existing blog from WordPress, and connected Mailchimp for email automation including abandoned cart recovery. The entire store was launched before the start of the autumn season.
Results
The store launched on time and performed well from day one. Order management became significantly simpler for Aurora compared to the old WooCommerce setup. With 75–80% of traffic arriving from mobile, the mobile-first approach proved essential. The store now actively sells across Spain, the EU — with top markets in Germany, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, and France — and internationally. The project has continued to evolve with theme updates, market restructuring, VAT configuration per EU country, and the addition of reviews via Judge.me.
