Starting point
It was the first website Kage Europe was launching for the brand, and it had to look polished from day one, with no room to publish something half-finished. The catalog was the most demanding part: it grew from the 100 products planned to around 330, with different product sheets and attributes depending on the type of product, and content that arrived in pieces. The site also had to launch in several languages and take care of SEO from the start.
How we approached it
We split the project into phases so publication wouldn’t be blocked. In the first one we focused on what the site needed to go live (catalog, product page, distributor map, a form to become a distributor, and a blog) and left the ERP integrations for later.
We built the catalog on WooCommerce, without online sales, with filters to browse each battery’s characteristics, a template for each product type, and the Spanish version with WPML. Before launch we reviewed the product URLs and set up redirects so we wouldn’t lose search rankings. We also decided to go live without the sections that didn’t have content yet, such as accessories or the distributor login, so the site wouldn’t look unfinished, and we added them afterwards.
Where it stands today
The site launched in September 2025 with a catalog of around 330 products and distributors on the map, and today it runs in four languages: English and Spanish from the start, and German and French added in 2026.
It has kept growing since then. We’ve added chargers, jump starters, testers and accessories, a new menu and footer, an Official Partners section, merchandising, equivalent batteries and complementary products on each product page, and the new MFLEX technology. We also moved the site to a different server to improve performance.
Since October 2025 we’ve also run their maintenance service, and we build new improvements as fixed-price pieces of work. The collaboration is still active.
